Undergrowth of a tropical rainforest

To the ground of a tropical rainforest only reaches very little sunlight. This caused that only few plants are growing at the ground. These are often, slender and shade-tolerant trees. Closer to riverbanks, swamps and clearings the vegetation of the ground will increase, because these plants get more sunlight that the plants in the forest.
